Set in Calgary during World War II, this play features five distinctive women whose lives are profoundly affected by a war being waged across the ocean. This inspiring story brings to life a world most of us have only heard about from parents and grandparents, by showing how these women survive the "waiting" with intelligence, strength and a joy of life. Waiting for the Parade is alternately dramatic, poignant and funny and also features some of the great songs made popular during the war years. You will leave the theatre celebrating all the wonderful women who went before us and faced an unknown future with courage and humour.
